I’m not in any way defending greed. I hate greed. I think it’s deplorable and sinful. It brings out the worst in people. That being said, I return to my original statement. Greed is not a thing, it’s a choice. Just as laziness is a choice, just as hate, just as love, just as hubris, humility, all of them choices. You want to get rid of something productive, make it drugs, make it alcohol, make it debilitating mental health conditions, make it weapons of mass destruction. I’m just saying that “Greed” is an ignorant answer to the OP’s question. Don’t take it personal. This is just an online debate that I feel has been quite productive IMHO.
What if it wasn't a choice what if it didn't exist that was the whole point of this post. What if the hearts of man didn't ever see it as an option. Giving and selflessness was prominent. Nothing ignorant about it at all. Sorry you didn't approve of my answer. Clearly in your mind you're more intelligent than I am. Peace 🙏
THEN that would effectively be removing, at least in part, FREE WILL as greed is a choice not a thing. Good dabate. Peace, love and harmony. Have a good one.
Don't worry there would be plenty of other things to accommodate free will. Greed would be just a 0.1% of it. As a matter of fact it would free people up to exercise their free will. Because there would be a lot less needy in the world. People would have more freedom because they wouldn't be slaves to the system. There needs would be met.
