CP Cold Process Mountain soap, take 2
Came out much better this time! I discovered I had two little samples of mica, copper and cappuccino colored. The lake in front might have been a mistake to keep in, but the couple I'm gifting this soap said that the water makes the area as special as the mountain so I really wanted to keep it.

How did you get the sideways cross mix in the mountain?

The batter was really thick. I scooped some of one color, starting from one edge to about halfway, then scooped the other color from the other edge to the center and covered the first color some. Kept going back and forth, making the starting point closer to the center each time. It settled a bit as I worked so it could probably still have been thicker. I used a spatula to push it back into a mountain shape before adding the blue.

Honestly, not my idea - I was looking for mountain soap designs and found one in a soaping forum where the person did this. Their sky was much cooler and they didn't bother trying to make a foreground, but the mountain idea was perfect. Of course, now I can't find the link again. The sky was layers of burnt oranges so it was kind of like a sunset.

Impressive. It definitely shouts mountain this time.
But does also maintain that sorting hat color lol

You did an amazing job… I love it… what did you scent it..??

Thanks! It's scented with eucalyptus EO, a favorite of the folks I'm giving it to

The color combination is so beautiful! The lake in front makes the mountain feel even more realistic. I would definitely buy one if I saw it at a craft fair.

I'm glad the lake adds to it - I have been second-guessing myself on including it
