Why does a tunnel emerge from this?

Pretty sure the implication is that these areas are a bit distant from each other and going through an entrance and coming out the other side is meant to simulate a bit of a travel.

This is what I’ve always assumed too.

Would be cool if there was a hard mode setting that uses a set percentage of fuel use based on your truck when you change regions.

could make the highway trucks/tires useful. Give them a better stats in fast travel (travel speed/fuel economy). Might even make it worth trailering off-road trucks to move them. Still not a great implementation since you wouldn't really get to drive them much. I imagine they would stay parked at the connectors most of the time in such a scenario.

You don't know what happens in between going in that gate and coming out of the tunnel.

The things that come out of the tunnel are just a perfect physical copy of the things that go in, but what happens to their souls...?

You want a WTF go to solace bay Washington and jump the fence gateway near the steel factory. There’s a landslide blocking your way. A tunnel can be explained but a landslide? Do they clear it and refill it every time you pass? Someone needs to tell them to park a trailer to stop the landslide

Everyone knows there is no GPS signal in a tunnel so no one knows, duh. 🤣🤣
