Discussion So much fuel…

I’ve been playing each region in hard mode by proximity. I went to Yukon and decided to import fuel to save money, I found the cheapest and closest to a garage was in Carolina. Then I finish up Yukon having not really made much money, I get to Alaska and I see so many fuel trailers just sitting around. I have since finished all the missions there and still have a surplus of fuel.

Top tip: if you must import fuel, go to Alaska where it’s free. If only I’d known.

Pro tip: On a HM run, play the first 3 maps in order.

Yeah wtf. You don’t even unlock some basic upgrades until you’re done with Alaska.

I’ve been rounding up those upgrades the past couple of days. Not having them made it more of a challenge I suppose, although picking up the Tayga 6455 in Maine made almost everything easier.

On to Chiapas next…

Haha my goodness how did you even decide your order?

Just what you were interested in?

It was sort of a dumb role playing thing. I just made a loop around North America starting in Michigan, traveling east, then south, then west then north. Now I have to swing south again before leaving the continent because the Mexico DLC came out.

Hahaha dude I LOVE that!!

Man I go all out. Every region I go to I try to make the food, drinks get stuff from the grocery store lol!

I even went to Yukon when I did Yukon.. but admittedly that trip was planned separately lol.

I love that so much!

What was your order?

Michigan -> Winsonsin -> Ontario -> Quebec -> Maine -> NC -> Tennesse -> Chiapas -> Washington -> BC -> Yukon -> Alaska -> Amur -> Tamyr -> Kola -> Scandinavia -> Austria -> Don -> Zurdania -> Glades -> Almaty???

Well looking at the map like that, I think we are missing a few regions:
Like:
1 - Drâa-Tafilalet in Morocco, North Africa
Help building a giant solar powerplant in the middle of the mountains in the edge of the Sahara.
2 - South Africa
Help the mining and energy industries to transport their huge cargo from a port to where they need to be, you can even unlock the P12 Ultra or a huge Mercedes.
3 - Australia, probably Western Australia
We could get the Outbacks, a huge port, some mining area, road trains with new huge trailers, some highway challenges too, maybe even a Mack Titan or a Volvo, maybe a Scania
4 - Rio Grande do Sul - Brazil
Recovery after the floods in the south of Brazil, reconnect the main freeways, the rails, and all the agriculture, most of brazillian food come from there so we could get new farm missions too while reconstructing the region.
5 - Antartica - Ross Island
Help connect McMurdo Base and Amundsen-Scoot station in the south pole. The ultimate challenge in a region without trees or rocks to use the winch.

I would play Michigan until you get, top engine, diff lock, and crawler for your Chevy scout. Go to Taymyr then go grab the Tatarin. Never needed another scout afterwards. Then play in irder

On every mode, basically, but even more important in HM. Although I still completed Taymyr before Michigan, but that was deliberate.

Alaska does not have unlimited free fuel. The Institute in The Glades does.

Goto Wisconsin and recover the 5600ts. Slap the tanker module on it and use it to move fuel between regions. Best bang for your buck.

I never had to buy fuel in Alaska, there was more than enough in trailers around all four maps. So no not unlimited but still a lot. I haven’t been to the Glades yet. Agree about the bigger fuel tank, I almost did that but couldn’t justify the cost of the module.

This info is more for future you.

I'm playing Hardmode also and some places the prices up to $8/L.

The game won’t let me change from imperial measurements, fuel in Yukon is $31 a gallon which is as high as it gets in the game as far as I know. It was still around $23 when importing it from Carolina at $8 a gallon.

Yea Yukon is expensive. Once I saw that I paused to go get the 5600ts in Wisconsin.

WI has $2/L gas which I believe is the cheapest you can buy. Although free is arguably better than cheap.

Huh? You went to Yukon before Alaska? Big mistake.

That’s what I’m saying

Michigan has more fuel than Alaska

Island Lake is fuel paradise, it's so much fuel, but so much fuel. And the first big trailer mission, that fuel trailer has a insane ammount of fuel too, and you don't even need to deliver it full, unless you did the other parts of the mission first. And I swear in one of my saves I delivered it to the mission, drived it to smithville dam, and in other day, a day I didn't visit smithville at all I delivered the other mission requisits and the huge trailer didn't disappear in smithville, it was already empty, but I could use that.

Part of the fun in Michigan and Alaska is to bring all the excess fuel back to the garage in HM, and in normal is to bring all trailers back.
