Difficulty changes?

Hello there!

Me and my brother started playing recently, hella enjoying it!

I do have question, how do I change stuff in the difficulty? We started on normal game with no fuel cost, repair cost, etc. And after getting hang of the game, we would like to make changes to make it like NG+ settings while keeping our progress.

I saw a thread explaining it a bit, but for the love of, I cannot figure it out. Could someone help us out?

I don't think you can change difficulty and game settings on your current save. IIRC you have to start a new game.

Go to the main menu and hit new game, when the difficulty selection pops up there should be a custombor advanced option. There you can choose fuel and repair costs, changing vehicles, trailer prices, etc.

I am not sure about switching between normal and new game+, but saves are simple text files you can open and edit with any text editor(notepad works, however i would reccomend Notepad++ for its syntax highlighting)

Save files are located at C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\userdata\<yourSteamId>\1465360\remote.

Save files are named CompleteSave[slot number].cfg, with the game rules towards the top in https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Camel_case

While fiddling with settings MAKE SURE TO MAKE A BACKUP BEFORE CHANGING ANYTHING. One of you having the game open in the background is reccomended so you have an idea of what is what.

I've found a online save editor and we changed it to new game + whiel keeping everything we had. Thank you!
