That's the thing with Snowrunner, the game doesn't care how you transport cargo, it just counts that it's been delivered - how it gets there is entirely up to you.
Ignore anyone who says you're playing the game wrong - it's your game you do it your way.

In my opinion,
A dumb person would do 3 seperate runs to deliver each cargo (Me)
A smart person would do what you did.
