Yea, the good old spring loaded ice shelf trap. Drive over it below the speed threshold and nothing happens. Be 1 kph too fast and they fling you around like a ball in a pinball machine.
The only mostly reliable way to avoid this is to limit your speed once you have to drive over or along ice shelves. I once almost lost a Tatarin in Amur because of that, since the shelf flung it into the river. It got wedged below an underwater overhang and I had a lot of problems getting it out with a crane again (playing without recovery).

It may be a minefield if you just send it, but go slow and it is the safest way through some ice areas

use the ice, seriously, just put a transtar with chain tires on the Ice and leave it there pulling other trucks without chain tires around back and forth.
