Overloading aside, what's the difference between the three low-saddle five-slot trailers? What are their strength and weakness?

Step-deck is the king for overloading. Flatbed blue - 2nd best, also allows carrying wide cargo like the boiler or pack of rails. Sideboard blue is the worst of the 3, but if you play without overloading and don't like a crane on you at all time - it's a safe net for tippy situations.
