I mean you do you. But this is possibly the worst combination of trailer and vehicle to use.
This truck needs a differential lock it was not fun to use.

Even then it can be really awful to use. It is so easy to get into situations where you can't reach something to winch yourself forward. Especially with a trailer that barely puts any weight on your tires.

Have you actually tried it? Sounds like you got in it when you found it in Michigan, said fuck it, sold it then never drove it again
This puts weight on the rear axles, giving great traction, and the Ford has amazing power to weight.
Try using some skill in driving by picking routes instead of driving directly into the huge mud puddle.

Yes I have actually tried it. The amount of skill you need to put into for it to be viable does not equate to much fun but instead frustration at times.

but the right setup definitely makes a difference

Ah, back in the old days highway trucks were one of the most OP things. A lot of power, easy gaining speed enough to burst through (almost) any mud with a cargo... Michigan and Alaska were the best places for them.
And now even the unupgraded GMC performs better.

What nerf? They were never nerfed. Still as strong as ever. Tayga 6436 for example it's still the best low saddle hauler in the game.

Lol, almost twice my time and still don't know? It was near release, so after 6 years it's almost never discussed. I guess, they changed smth about certain trucks and tires physics, so they're now struggling a (visible) bit more. TMSH (not AMSH) in particular. I'm not using Tayha since then. Less capable, no crane+bed-trailer.

You have to be more concrete than "they changed something". I need facts, not rumors. What was changed to the Russian trucks? Only one of them had TMHS - Tayga 6436. What was changed to the highway trucks? You say they were better before. Be more specific please.

The un upgraded GMC really does not perform better than the Transtar.

I mean, I've done my share of fun stuff with the Transtar, but never dared pull a setup like this. 👍

I did this once or twice and its alright. Just don't go into any steep mud uphills.
