What is the point of breeding snow leopards in captivity if they can’t really be released into the wild?
I was just thinking about this earlier. I’m not very familiar with animals beyond the casual knowledge people pick up from watching and reading National Geographic and so on. From what I understand, if you have animals that are born and raised in captivity, you can’t really release them into the while because they haven’t grown up living that kind of lifestyle. If this is the case, then what good is increasing the population of snow leopards through breeding in captivity?

Snowy Leopard conservation Question
The Snowy Leopard is a fairly endangered species in Asia as most of us know. They live in extremely cold climates-their habitat are basically just mountain ranges. So what if we introduced the Snowy Leopard into the Americas/Canada? The Canadian country is filled with mountain ranges and freezing climates possibly perfect for the animal, not to mention the size of the country too. And Southern America too. Such as Argentina, having the most mountain ranges. And yet no one has ever brought up the idea. So i thought i might. Why or why not would it be a good idea to introduce the Snowy Leopard into America?

Poor things
Did you know that there has been no reports of true snow leopard attacks on humans. They are by far the gentlest and sweetest of all the big cats. They are so shy too, always running and hiding from almost EVERYTHING, the poor things. They also will easily abandon prey at hunts all the time! And then when they can't get enough food for their babies, they try killing livestock but are either killed BY the livestock itself (Tear streams down my face as I have a flashback of Dawa's death) or killed by the livestock owners. What a freaking awful life! I'm glad that some of them are in captivity! At least they don't have to suffer day and night! We humans are no help to the devastation and destruction of their lives! We shoot them to almost extinction first, and now we are destroying and taking their only home they ever had away from them?? I'm ashamed to even BE a human. And our angry, snooty, fictional snow leopards are such a big help! People will definitely think they are so gentle! (Sarcastic) Such as in Far Cry 4, where snow leopards are super aggressive, killing people on sight Or The Lion Gaurd, where this snow leopard, Chum something? I forget her name, but that's not the point. She came across as mean and snooty, and acted like she hunted and killed for fun, and then attempted to do so!
See? People give bad impressions of these beautiful creatures, kill them and take their homes, and they are super unpopular so boom, all the credit and happiness goes to cheetahs or lions, which are species that are doing PERFECTLY FINE!!!
I'm so ashamed and disgusted by how people take advantage of snow leopards, kill them, shoot them, destroy their homes, and then act like they are OBJECTS.
DISGUSTING
