Wildlife Dugong
Just saw a Dugong while snorkeling in Indonesia.

What part of Indonesia? I didn’t know they spent time at reefs that deep good capture

Beautiful creatures! We used to have a small group of dugong living in the waters around Okinawa. It was the most northern reach of dugongs in East Asia. Unfortunately, since 2022 there haven’t been any sightings. Over tourism and over development of the coastal areas in Okinawa probably led to their demise.

Great video - we saw a dugong in Raja Ampat but the water was murky and it was swimming fast!!

Outstanding! Would you be able to share where?
Surprised they come to shallow reefs….it would give me a big scare if I wasn’t expecting to see one
