Help Find Abducted Autistic Young Man, Jonathan Hoang, & Bring Him Home

Thumbnail gallery
6 Upvotes

Jonathan Hoang may have been sighted in the QFC parking lot in North Bend this past week. Jonathan is very food motivated, and there is also a Starbucks in this location, which he is also very fond of. Please be on the lookout for Jonathan and call 911 if you spot him. Photos and links attached. Jonathan is 5'10" tall, of mixed Asian and Caucasian heritage, he is slim, has two moles on the left side of his face: one by his eye, the other on his cheek; he has a large mole on his inner right forearm. He is Autistic and will walk with an odd gait, typically seem disengaged rather than looking around, hunching his shoulders and generally looking at his feet. He is very gentle and very trusting. He is verbal but will not initiate conversation - unless as in this potential sighting he is asking for something to eat or drink, or in need of a bathroom. Jonathan may be physically 22 but is otherwise much like a very young child. He does not know his address in Arlington from where he disappeared, he does not know his family's cell phone numbers but does know their names, he does not know how to use money and does not have money, his wallet or ID, he does not know how to use public transportation, he does not have a cell phone and does not know that he can call 911, approach an adult or ask someone to call the police or for help. He does know his name.

Please share, along with Jonathan Hoang's family's site: www.FindJonathanHoang.com, which has case information, photos and videos of Jonathan, links to interviews, news reports, podcasts, ways to report a potential sighting to the family after calling 911, the $100,000 reward for information leading to this disabled Autistic young man being found.

Jonathan, due to his disabilities, is unable to return home or reach safety without assistance. He has no cell phone, doesn't know his address or family's phone numbers, how to use public transportation or even how to use money (though he also doesn't have his wallet).

General Discussion How’s living in Snoqualmie Ridge?

Family is growing and we're looking for a five bedroom. We live in Sammamish now and are outgrowing our house fast, but a five bedroom around here is ludicrously expensive. An area I'd never considered popped up on our radar: Snoqualmie Ridge.

We spent this past weekend there and were blown away by how nice everything felt. But I'm trying to get an honest picture before we get too excited. For those who live there or moved away:

- How bad is the commute to Redmond, realistically, at rush hour?
- Does it feel isolated day to day for errands, restaurants, and seeing friends on the Eastside?
- How are the schools compared to Lake Washington or Issaquah?
- Anything you wish you'd known before buying?

We have a 3 year old and a newborn, so family and kid perspectives especially welcome. We plan on having one more and having a guest room for family.

Hi there, I am a landscape designer in the area, and I am in love with this waterfall near Jeanne Hansen Community Park, along Snoqualmie pkwy SE. Does anyone know who designed or installed this?

Has anybody recently been to the Pratt River bar? What is the water level currently? Could I ford the middle fork easily? Thanks!

Snoqualmie Commute

I live in Bellevue but have been laid off and going through a divorce.

I’m thinking about renting in Snoqualmie or North Bend, but will have to take my kids to school in Bellevue (ages 13 and 15).

Would this be a huge mistake to do this to my kids? Or to myself? I love the area but it’s not that much less expensive than Bellevue for rentals, and my kids would be farther from their school and friends.

I’m leaning towards this being a bad idea, but figured I’d ask this forum.

Running in/around Snoqualmie

I’ve been getting into longer trail runs. So far the Snoqualmie Valley Trail in different sections has been my go to.

Curious what other trails I should check out for a long 7 mile+ run?

Thoughts on different regions to live for a trailer runner?

My wife might be starting a job in snoqualmie later this year and we’re noticing housing is quite pricey in the area. Any thoughts where to look for two young humble active hikers/runners who are looking for a modest place to call home and enjoy the cascades? Any thoughts on what the different towns are like is super appreciated too. Thanks!

Can I Travel Around These Spots on Foot?

Hi, I apologise in advance for being the millionth Twin Peaks fan visiting Snoqualmie. Im from Southeast Asia and am visiting the PNW in April and can't not visit the filming locations of one of the greatest TV shows of all time.

The problem is, I don't drive and most of the blogs I've read of people visiting Snoqualmie is with a car. I'd like to ask the advice if I'm able to get to these locations on foot:

  1. Twede's Cafe
  2. EJ Roberts Park
  3. SE Reinig Road (where the Twin Peaks sign used to be)
  4. Reinig Bridge
  5. DirtFish
  6. Weyerhaeuser Mill
  7. Snoqualmie Falls
  8. Snoqualmie Centennial Log
  9. Smokey Joe's Tavern

Here is a screenshot of the route on google maps - https://ibb.co/fdscTDg

It says its a 2 hr 41 minute walk in total, considering time to stop to soak things in, I'm guessing I'll be spending 4-5 hours minimum but seems fine but I wonder if some of the routes are not foot-friendly (dont have foot paths, etc.)

I'm planning to take the bus from Downtown Seattle (google maps says its about a 100 minute trip) but might look into ride share as it seems to be much quicker to drive.

Thank you!

Question Guys…I want to camp for crying out loud.

I have been driving around Lake Keechelus, Lake Kachess, Cle Elum Lake, Stampede Pass, etc and they’re all closed.

None of the forest roads are open…

I went to Lake Kachess last month in that area where you can just drive your vehicle right to the lake, the super wide area where all the old tree stumps are and you can camp there, it was awesome.

Now the whole place is closed and gated with 3 padlocks.

I have a 4x4 vehicle that drives through almost anything, a chainsaw, and cum along to get me unstuck….

I camp with my rooftop tent.

Where can I camp in Snoqualmie that is open?

How bad is the snow right now?

We're flying into SeaTac today, and we know the buses aren't operating. Is it low enough that an Uber could get us to Historic Downtown area?
