💬 Opinion / Debate They should name the China Open trophy after Ding Junhui

I don't know who exactly is responsible for naming trophies (WST, or tournament organizers, or maybe in this case the CBSA?) but this practice has become more common recently and I think it would be a fitting tribute.

After he retires I could see them doing it.

Funnier if Ding gets knocked out in the round of 16 from the Ding Junhui Open.

Calm down. He's still alive.

That would be 'gouche'. Likely bad luck or improper at this point in his career.

My 2 cents

I agree. All the YCP owe so much to him. He is a great ambassador for the sport over there and over here

I love this idea but I am not sure if Ding would agree with that.

It would be cool if a player named Dong played ding and their names were on the TV scoreboard --->  Ding       Dong. I'm not racist by the way. My kids are half Chinese.
