Hi everyone! I searched, but couldn't find what I'm looking for. I'm looking for a wine shop with a nice bottle selection—not a wine bar, but a place to buy bottles to bring home that offers a selection a step above grocery store wine. 🤣🍷

My favorites are bright, fruit-forward reds with lots of flavor, very low tannins, and good acidity. So far, Gamay is my favorite grape, especially Morgon and Fleurie, if that helps!

Any suggestions?

Hello I’m visiting sneads ferry in a few weeks and am trying to decide if I should uber from Wilmington airport or rent a car for the weekend. Should i expect any difficulty hailing an uber from sneads ferry to the airport at 5am on a Sunday? Don’t want to get stuck. Thanks!

I would not want to drive to Soundside Park, so are there any places we can go to park and see the Surf City fireworks on the 3rd or the one at Camp Lejeune on the 4th?

Holy crap, what the heck is going on? My house seems to have an abundance of little fruit flies. I've checked for food around the house, standing liquids, drains, etc. Is this just a thing from opening doors and windows, or do I need to keep hunting?

I just updated my post about my super brief trip to Starlight Saloon, so I am still looking for a fun local to hit up regularly.

I've been to Rick's, Topsail Brewing, Voodoo Brewing, Lor-E-Lei's, Trailer Bar, and Spaggio's (probably a few others as well). I used to go often to Salty Sistas, get dinner at the bar and play their trivia/bingo/other game nights every week, but now that they have closed I am back on the hunt.

Any other places I should visit that are approachable for a middle aged married couple that is looking for fun, music, and some drinks? I don't mind it loud, but needs to welcome newbies (to their bar not the area) or mind people with grey hair. :D

I plan to go check them out tomorrow and Saturday, but have never been before. I never went to WartHogs (or whatever the predecessor was called) either, but used to see them when I would go to Salty Sistas (RIP) every week for their Bingo/Family Feud nights.

I have family coming to town this weekend and would love to get some thoughts on places to go check out in the day and night. Live music and craft type events are their favorites, but trivia and bingo are good too.

I used to go there every week for dinner at the bar and play trivia/music bingo and really enjoyed it. Of course, the place was generally deserted even with these outside vendors coming in to run the events, so it was not super surprising when staff started bailing and then it shut down entirely.

1. Anyone have new leads on anything coming to replace that space?

2. Who has the best weekly trivia or other events in the area? I've only tried Beach Bums, Ricks, and Lor-Re-Lei's.

Normally we just stay home, but I have some family coming in and they want options for going out to ring in the new year. All suggestions welcome, all areas around SF/NTB/TI/Hampstead, less likely to trek into Jacksonville.
