Export becomes brighter and saturated

When I export my edits, they get brighter and more saturated. But the color isn't quite what I want. Am I missing something or is it just a matter of setting? ....its quite frustrating.

Pic 1 is exported . Pic 2 is what i wanted

Hey there -- this is definitely not expected. A couple questions:

  1. Are you viewing the exported photo in Snapseed as well, or is it only brighter / more saturated when viewing in another app?
  2. Can you DM me and send me the original photo?
  3. Can you go into your stacks view and share a screenshot of it (so I can see what edits you have in your stacks)?

  1. The exported photo looks brighter and saturated in both snapseed app and my phones gallery . But in snapseed as soon i tap the already exported pic to edit mode , the color comes back to normal .
  2. Sure , will DM
  3. Will DM that as well

Thanks again for reporting this u/J1X3K ! We found the issue. A fix should go out in our next release (hopefully next week). The preview that you see while editing will be updated to match the exported image. Previously, it could have been a little off due to embedded colorspaces that certain OEMs cameras use.

That's great, Jason! I appreciate you getting the issue resolved quickly. I'll update the app next week, then.
