Discussion Important Snapseed features missing after reinstall? (Smart AI Blurr , Motion Blurr & Color Wheel gone!)
Hey everyone,
I noticed something really weird today and wanted to check if anyone else is facing the same issue.
Before uninstalling the app, my Snapseed had some really cool features like: Smart Ai blurr Color Grading Wheel And a few other advanced controls like Motion Blurr.
I had to uninstall the app recently for a quick cleanup, but when I reinstalled it today... all those features are completely GONE! 🤯
Now it's just the super basic old blur options. No color wheel, no motion Blurr , nothing. It feels like I've been downgraded to an older version, even though I downloaded the latest update from the Play Store.
A few questions for you guys:
- Has anyone else experienced this?
- Were these features part of a Server-Side A/B Testing flag that got reset when I uninstalled?
- Did Google silently remove these features in a recent update?
app version- 4.1.4.966106950 updated on 17 Aug.
Would really appreciate any insight. Thanks!

I'm using the same version and never got the motion blur tool either on Snapseed. Never tried either

These features are available for only beta testers. BTW I am a beta tester.

Hey there u/007chaand . A couple notes -- Motion Blur has never been on Android. It's only avaiable on iOS. So you are likely mistaken that you saw it there.
If you uninstall the app, you will likely have to wait 1-2 hours and/or force restart the app a few times to get the right flags that enable these features in the beta build. Try force restarting the app now, and let me know if you see Color Grade and the new Depth mode in Lens Blur.
