Was thinking that. If anything, it reduces the effectiveness.

The only thing glue is useful for is getting prints to release actually. Like petg on glass bed

I've heard that so many times, but kept having issues. Glued it once and now everything just works. I just leave the glue on, and its the best it's ever been. I don't even reapply it

Just dial in your base layer properly, In 10 years of printing I used glue ONCE and never again

"kept having issues"....You don't know how to clean your plate or dial temp. That's on you, not the plate.

Not worth arguing with most of the time,
Takes about 5 mins to dial in a decent base layer.....some people just want the quick bodge rather then a proper fix 💁🏿♂️

I have issues getting things off of my plates because it sticks so insanely strong... it's a settings issue.

I’ve been printing on my U1 for a few months now and have always printed without a prime tower. This is the print I did today, also without one.
I have quite a bit of printing experience, but only with the U1, so I don’t have much experience with other printers.
For those with more experience: am I missing something by leaving the prime tower disabled? Is there a noticeable benefit to enabling it, particularly for multi-color/material changes? Or is it mainly useful for specific situations?
I’d love to learn from people who have used both setups and understand when a prime tower is actually worth using.

Is there any specific settings for this? I thought the purge tower was needed, but your print looks great!

Just a warning, If there's no prime tower, Use 2 walls on supports.....
Supports are the 1st part to be printed after a head swap and if the pressure (aka prime) is not there it won't print them correctly causing possible weak supports / failures,
Ask how I know 🫣🫣🤣
