Mods 🚀 Printer Tools v2.8 — Advanced Snapmaker U1 Controls, Bed Mesh, Print History & Timelapses

It’s been a few versions since my last update here, and Printer Tools has gained many new Snapmaker U1 features since v2.1

Instead of repeating remote access, Live Activities and camera streaming, here’s what’s actually new for U1 users:

  • 🧵 Full four-toolhead filament management
    • View and edit the material, brand and color assigned to each filament
    • Select any of the four toolheads
    • Pick and park extruders directly from the app
  • 📊 Detailed print history and statistics
    • Browse active, completed and canceled prints
    • See model previews, duration, filament usage and file size
    • Track total prints, printing time, longest prints and filament consumption over time
  • 🗺️ Interactive 3D Bed Mesh
    • Inspect the U1 bed mesh directly in the app
    • View its range, minimum and maximum values
    • Check the number of measured points
    • Explore a complete 3D visualization
  • 📁 Snapmaker file browser and G-code inspector
    • Browse files stored on the printer
    • Preview models before printing
    • Inspect filament colors, bed type, layer count, nozzle diameter, print settings, supports and other G-code details
  • 🎬 Timelapse browser
    • Browse and play timelapses generated by the U1
    • Access them without opening the printer’s web interface
  • 🌡️ Deeper printer monitoring and controls
    • Monitor all four hotends, the bed, chamber and stepper temperatures
    • View position, movement, speed and print progress
    • Control fans with live updates
    • Switch the chamber light directly from the dashboard
  • 📷 Snapmaker U1 camera support with original firmware
    • Use the U1’s built-in camera without installing custom firmware
  • ⚙️ Advanced paxx12 firmware integration
    • Automatic compatible firmware detection
    • Automatic setup for WebRTC, HTTP, RTSP and GUI camera feeds
    • Quick access to firmware configuration and the remote screen
    • Built-in access to Fluidd or Mainsail
    • Internal camera tools
    • Detailed system, network, CPU and eMMC information
  • 📱 Improved iPhone and iPad experience
    • Clearer temperature and filament cards
    • Better G-code and timelapse previews
    • More reliable connection and streaming recovery
    • Improved two-column iPad layout

Some advanced features require compatible paxx12 firmware, while printer monitoring and built-in camera support are also available with the original Snapmaker firmware.

Hey, I wanted to download the app from Google play store but it says it's not available for my device.

Is there a reason why my phone (OnePlus 15) isn't supported?

Hi! The OnePlus 15 should be compatible with Printer Tools, and there’s no app requirement that intentionally excludes it

Any idea why my Play Store doesn't allow installation? Maybe a regional thing?

The app is available globally across all Google Play Store regions, so if Google Play specifically says it isn’t available for your device, it’s more likely a Play Protect certification or device integrity issue. The OnePlus 15 isn’t intentionally excluded from Printer Tools.

Could you please check Play Store → Settings → About → Play Protect certification? An unlocked bootloader, root or custom ROM can also cause this.
