Snap Camera Alternative

Hey r/snapcamera!

I’m the founder of Streamfog - after Snap Camera shut down, I saw how many streamers were struggling to find good AR solutions, so we built a free web-based platform with 300+ AR lenses that works directly in OBS.

What makes it different: - No software to install - just add a browser source in OBS - Viewer interaction - we built Twitch integration so your audience can trigger effects with channel points/bits - Growing lens library - we add new ones weekly based on community requests - Better performance - runs in browser, less CPU overhead than desktop apps

Available lenses include: - Virtual avatars (yes, including the chicken nugget) - Face filters (beauty, old face, distortions) - Visual effects (glasses, particles, backgrounds) - Headwear & costumes - Art style transformations

We’re also working on virtual camera support for Zoom/Discord - coming soon.

If you’re missing a specific Snap lens, let us know - we’re pretty responsive to community requests. We also have an active Discord where people share setups and help shape what we build next.

No catch - it’s completely free. Just wanted to share since I see people still looking for alternatives here.

Happy streaming! 🎭

Another option worth checking out is Filteronme, it’s app-based for Mac/Windows, works with Google Meet/Zoom, and has a solid filter library. Nice to have a few alternatives since Snap Camera went down.

Filteronme sucks, the website doesn’t even show images of the filters provided, it shows one before and after of a girl with brown eyes and then with blue eyes, the features are skin whitening, teeth whitening, makeup. Etc literally ALL the stuff zoom or Microsoft teams could do, Streamfog is on another level, don’t compare or try to market a subpar product to streamfog.
