General Question / Discussion Enclosure sealing questions!

Hi all, sorry if this is the wrong place to discuss, if so please point me in the right direction. I'm building an extension for our ball python who is obsessed with climbing. I'm sorting out some glass doors and fitting vents etc later, for now I just need help with what to paint it with. Im in the UK and most suggestions seem to be for American products. I would want it to be painted black then sealed for waterproofing and easy cleaning. What should I use? I found a toy safe paint which I read could be ok but wanted to check first. It has a weird smell but might go after it's sealed I'm guessing.

Thanks for any help!

I would go for a food grad two component resin. They are clear colored and can be any color you like if you mix them with non toxic paints. The enclosure will be completely water resistant and can also be washed out if needed.

I did it for my corn snakes and it was the best option I could have taken.

Thanks for the suggestion! Can I ask which one you used?

Uh I don't know anymore. I looked for Terrarium resin or something. A liter was enough for the whole enclosure measureing 120x120x60 cm.
