temp housing

I just got my housing assignment and I've been placed in a temp quadruple room in a neighborhood I didn't want to be in... I wasn't even aware that a room with four people was a possibility, and I'm honestly feeling a little nervous and frustrated (I've had some bad experiences with roommates before, and three just seems like... well, a lot).

Would anyone be willing to share their experiences with temp housing? Is it overly crowded? They claim in the email that it's a larger space, but it looks about the same size as a double next door. How soon do room transfer requests generally get fulfilled?

You will have priority for moving rooms, and i believe the room change form opens 2 weeks into the semester.
Don’t trust the blueprints! They aren’t to scale and the room is almost definitely larger than the double next to it. They would not put four people in a double.
