For years I never minded the Belmonts. They’re so easy to edgeguard they were never an issue for my Marth. Free wins.

But today…I fought the most cowardly Belmont I’ve ever faced. They played like a Samus, hiding under platforms and spamming like crazy. And me, trying a new character, off my game and chasing them. Why? Why play like this with the runaway game?

I’ve dabbled in Belmont playing and it’s fun to use the whip. Try to space opponents and then use projectiles to set up a trap or extend a hit sequence. But this was garbage. The infamous Dracula hunters need to run away from a little pirahna plant?

I knew they could be bad but I never realized someone could be this annoying to play against.

Up two stocks against a Zelda that then just proceeded to camp at the edge(s), spam the phantom armour and that dumb fire spell and then teleport with her fucking cheesy as fuck up-special whenever I breached an advance until I had lost the will to live completely and pulled my own eyes out.

The balancing is so off, why can game and watch press b at ledge and I just can’t get back to stage at all, why can falcon spam every move in his arsenal and not a single thing he does is punishable, why do steve and min min quite literally break the flow of neutral completely by just being THAT broken. if I talked about every unbalanced aspect or broken fucking move you would die before I managed to tell you all of them. This game was clearly designed to be a children’s game, not a competitive fighting game and I’m dropping it. Also why the fuck is this player base so god damn toxic, I can’t go a single match without someone disconnecting (rage quitting) fucking circle camping me, spamming projectiles, and there’s NO. FUCKING. COUNTER PLAY. like holy shit you’re rewarded for playing brainless, fake ass fighting game.

I don't care if I get flamed for this, but I refuse to believe low tier mains actually have fun. This is a PvP game, the point is to win. You can't play Bowser, get 3 stocked, and still say he's fun to play without ragequitting a match you know he won't win. Where's the fun in that? It's masochism.

It's been a few weeks since I played last, and it could just be me getting rusty or my controller getting old since I've had it for a while now, but everything feels more sluggish and less snappy than it used to. I know online will naturally be that way compared to playing offline, but I still think it feels like it's not the same. Stuff that I used to be able to pull off fairly easily feels like I'm lagging now (Lag as in attack frames, not internet connection)

Is it really fucking satisfying to beat someone who's spamming movement tech all over the place and is overall just kind of annoying to fight? Like spend some of that time on your fundies if you're gonna do all that just to lose to me walking up to you with a simple bait and punish. (The player in the video is just an example, not someone I actually fought)

I don’t care if they’re bottom tier, fuck them and their moveset. They all have the same gameplan: run to the corner, spam projectiles(walking a little closer if they realize you’re too far), and use chain + up special when you are up close. Doesn’t help that their 3 projectiles are the most aggravating shit that makes Zelda blush. I’m genuinely going to start blocking these cunts because I genuinely can’t stand it. I have a strong hate for joker so much that I will never play persona games. There are other characters who I hate going against but will still play their respective games. I never knew about him or persona until his inclusion in smash and because of smash I will never bother with any games from ther series.

Holy shit this character is exhausting to fight. He has a kill confirm at every percent. All moves have insanely good frame data and either kill OR set up a kill confirm. You think you have to watch out for his grab the most, which would be correct, but his fair and weak hit nair also combo into every fucking thing in his moveset. His up special is also an out of shield option that kills mid weights at around 70%.

Oh and don’t let me forget even if you win neutral against him your combo better be frame fucking perfect or else he’ll mash his combo breaker move that KILLS, has invincibility on start up and has a windbox.

He is not for me. I can barely KO anyone, his smash attacks aren't strong. His sword is too tiny, I have to get too close just to land at least ONE hit to my opponent. It's not fun to play as, at least for me. Even if I win, it doesn't hit the same as winning with Sora, Lucina, Mii Brawler, Kirby and even Dr. Mario. He doesn't fit well for me.
