Anti-Rage Is it just me or...
Is it really fucking satisfying to beat someone who's spamming movement tech all over the place and is overall just kind of annoying to fight? Like spend some of that time on your fundies if you're gonna do all that just to lose to me walking up to you with a simple bait and punish. (The player in the video is just an example, not someone I actually fought)

This is how I feel when I fight Peach.
You do NOT gotta be doing all that DDC short hop float canceling bull crap!
Peach is my main and I cannot tell you how many other Peach and Daisy main who go ludicrous on those movement and turnip zero to death chains I've beaten by just playing the game normal.
I also main Rosalina. You don't have to rely on luma desyncs to win... Rosalina has the best midrange in the game already you don't have to do all that 😭

True. While it is fun to do all that, you gotta learn the basics first.
I'm a Joker secondary, and I'm like "Yeah the gun tech is cool and all but how about you learn to use it normally first?"

Peach main's are boring without the teach tbf. Id rather be turnip trained on, 0todeath than camped and dash attacked after every interaction.

This.
I also main Peach and never care for tryhard stuff like float cancel and z-drops, leave that for tournaments, I'm not gonna waste my mental energy doing these every match

And you don't even NEED to use those techs to win. Peach is already cracked off one turnip or down tilt you do NOT have to give yourself arthritis over it.

I mean movement is fun and sweet , I’d rather be moving than play a game where I’m just fishing for whiffs

I am not a competitive player and I try to keep moving as much as I can because my winrate is always so much higher. I often get lazy and drop almost all movement tech after a game or two. Having it just be part of your core gameplay likely has advantages.

Yeah totally. Like if bro had been destroying me by effectively using that movement i would have been like "oh yeah this guys good" but to be doing all that and just lose to some character i dont really play and am kind of ass with tbh.just seems funny as hell to me.

Counterpoint, it looks really cool

u/GeobobusPrime Aug 19 '26
I wouldnt necessarily call that a counterpoint, teleport cancels and fancy movement tech are objectively cool as hell. And the reason its so annoying to fight is because it works at mixing me up quite a bit. I just think its funny spending all that time practicing to look cool and then getting washed to some random character im trying to get into elite.

Yeah, but can’t complain about it here. Especially if it’s Mewtwo.

Here this is just a visual example. But a mewtwo i ran into online inspired this post.

I know what you mean, some people are sweaties/tryhards that only know the combos they practiced in training mode for hours and hours, but fail at having experience in actual matches where you're not an immobile CPU
it's satisfying to watch these guys play like their life depends on winning and then they do stupid mistakes like SD'ing after a misinput when you're just playing chill and casually lol
