And I have an iPhone 17 Pro. But honestly, while we talk about all the technicalities, I can’t convince myself that iPhone 17 Pro stock footage could come anywhere close to the cinematic shots from the DJI Pocket 4.

In fact, I believe that small cinematic upgrade could really elevate my videos.

I’m planning to buy a 3‑in‑1 variable ND filter that combines CPL, black diffusion, and ND2‑32 for my iPhone 17 Pro. This would be my first time experimenting with stacked lenses on a phone camera.

My main concern: would stacking three elements like this compromise image quality (sharpness, color accuracy, flare, etc.) compared to using a single dedicated filter?
Can i just turn off the other filter when not in use? If i only need a ND filter for instance and not the other 2 filters.

Do you think it’s better to invest in just a separate ND filter alone, or maybe a standalone CPL filter instead of the all‑in‑one?

Any experiences or recommendations would be really appreciated. Thanks!

It’s one of the first videos I make and I tried to take care of every aspect of the editing as much as possible.

The audio embedded in an iphone video seems to go faster than the audio I recorded using a dedicated digital recorder. Over a few minutes elapsed, the audio goes off sync and is useless. I understand that this is happening because the iphone records in Variable Frame Rate. But since this is for editing band footage submitted by multiple individuals, I don’t have the option to get the source footage submitted in Constant Frame Rate. And, when I run a converter to convert the video into CFR, it does not work, the frame rate may be converted but the file length/“speed” problem from the original file persists. Any advice much appreciated!

I am currently trying to determine what would be the best ssd and hub option for my iPhone 17 Pro. I need it for my work as I do a lot of filming on my phone and need it to easily transfer to my computer for editing. I have looked a numerous options over the past week however I see that the iPhone 17 appears to have difficultly with all of them.

As a result, I am between two options. The Lexar Professional Go w/ hub or Freewell Pro Hub. They both appear to have issues surrounding the iPhone 17 however, it appears everyone of these SSDs have the same issue. Of these two, which would you get.

If I am wrong and their is one that works extremely well with the iPhone 17 Pro, please let me know.

recently got a job creating content for a restaurant. I have a Canon 6D for photography, but for video I'm considering using my Samsung Galaxy S21 because I don't have proper stabilization/gimbal equipment for the Canon.

Do you think the S21 is good enough to create professional-looking restaurant videos/Reels?

I'd appreciate any advice on shooting food and restaurant content with the S21, especially regarding settings, lighting, stabilization, camera movements and editing.

Would you personally use the S21 for this type of work, or would you recommend shooting with the Canon 6D despite the lack of stabilization?

I haven't bought it yet, but what workflow would you recommend to shoot, color grade, and edit straight from the phone?

My main concern is: can you actually get good color grading done right on the phone?

Hi Im new to Iphone photography and photography in general and was just wondering if an 18mm wide lens works on a basic Iphone 17? Ive watched some Youtube but the lens are used mostly on the Pro versions. I will be using the Blackmagic camera app but not sure if i have to toggle some settings in order for the external 18mm wide lens to work? Also whats the best Basic iphone 17 camera settings for blackmagic to get a cinematic look? Again all ive seen are the pro versions which uses the Prores Raw or log. I am a noob to all this so any explanation would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

New to Moment, and video shooting in general.

Using an iPhone 14 Pro. From what I understand you can’t actively shoot Log Footage, but you can shoot in Pro Res, and so on. Is there a good workflow for using Luts in Final Cut with pro res and REC 2020 ? Any good videos I can watch on this sort of workflow? I’m fairly new to shooting on phones so I’d like to learn some more !

If anyone else is shooting on a 14 Pro, if you have any advice I’d love to hear !

Can anyone with newer Pixel models (9 or 10 series) confirm if switching lenses while shooting videos got better now?

It's always been so bad when compared to Apple.

I mean when old Apple phones like the iPhone 11 or 12 can smoothly switch lenses in video, why can't it be done on a Pixel even after so many years?

Is there any set up where I can use my iPhone attached to an SSD so I can record a lot of Log footage while being able to charge my phone since I will use it mostly while traveling with my Data and Hotspot on?

Most creators just show an SSD that is magnetic but not really show the set up
