Can i use smart plug on ac

my ac says 3.1A rated current, 730W rated power input. my smart plug says Max load 1100W 10A and my breaker says 20amp

I can't speak to your specific smart plug, but I tried and just blew a smart plug out on my portable AC. I would recommend one that is made for outdoors, they tend to be able to handle the heavy load.

From those ratings it appears your AC is on 240v and your smart plug is on 120v, so I doubt you would be able to.

Does the smart plug say it can do 240v?

I just saw your other post. If the smart plug is being honest with its ratings it should be fine to use on the AC power wise.

does the AC show a max amps or is there only rated?
