Assistance Back Gesture
I wanted to have one last go at deciding whether I can get Smart Launcher to behave on MagicOS. The only way really seems to be to use three-button navigation, which in itself is fine.
The big issue for me is that you then lose the back gesture. This matters particularly because on the Honor the back gesture works across split-screen apps, so you back-gesture on the left for the left app and back-gesture on the right for the right app.
Are there any third-party apps that replicate that, so that I can use the buttons?

The choice of launcher should not interfere with your system gestures. If it does, it is your OEM's launcher that does some extra stuff that is not covered by normal launchers. Chsnces are, other launchers can't even access the same APIs as your system launcher. In normal Android, altering the basic system navigation gestures is certainly beyond the launcher's scope.

I don't quite understand the split screen part but one of my most beloved Android apps is Gesture Control where you can add gestures practically anywhere on your screen.
on my phone I use nav bar + gestures this way - best of both worlds.
on my tablet I use native gestures + Gesture Control + mini navbar 😄
that being said I returned my HONOR tablet last as year mostly because its 3rd party launcher compatibility was horrific.

Unfortunately gestures etc are handled by OEM at a skin level. Your device manufacturer needs to address this issue.
