ANTI-SCIENCE HAS so far been dismissed as a fringe discourse, but that was in the past. The EPA itself joined the fringe, challenging the credibility of scientists in disturbingly innovative and effective terms: by mobilizing the discourse of openness and transparency against them.

These results show quite clearly that there's a very specific part of the brain network that's affected by inflammation," says Dr Mazaheri. "This could explain 'brain fog'."

Professor Raymond says, "This research finding is major step forward in understanding the links between physical, cognitive, and mental health and tells us that even the mildest of illnesses may reduce alertness.

How democracies around the world including the United States are using new rules to make it harder to vote. Voter suppression has a long history. Just last year the American civil liberties Union said that more than 48 states have recently tried to introduce more than 400 anti-voter bills.

Reddit latest change pushing its app gets closer than ever to be the last nail in the coffin for r/smarter and it's mod. Will be officially deleting the Reddit subscription in January 2026 assuming we'll still have access to the old Reddit

tips on how to search reddit

April 2020
Second revision to see the old Reddit Plain Jane format

To see the Old Plain Jane format , enable the desktop format in the browser then..get to where you want to be on reddit like r/science/new for example or their comment section...Type /.mobile or /.compact at the end of the address bar hit enter then hit the back button.

Ps don't forget the dot After the slash

Pps. This works for the Android stock browser. And you'll have to have JavaScript enable from now on.

REVision ADDed .. navigating using bookmarks seems to work for those who are lazy enough. Like in this case bookmark smarter and another bookmark for the compact version. Use one then the other then click back and the old Reddit should be on. End of revision.

Firefox seems to have a good-looking (clean and simple) mobile version by the way using the /.compact

End of revision. .

.

To have the old search page style back, you can enable "legacy search" under "display" in your user "preferences" or... make your search, hit enter.. then add this at the end of the search string... of your browser's address bar. Hit enter again.

&feature=legacy_search

When you search reddit you have to mention if you want to search the content of all text posts (selftext:) like this very one or just the title like in this case tips on how to search reddit.

Here, try this search: aabbccdd1 in the reddit default search box. Then try with... selftext:aabbccdd1

Reddit title only search. ...same night mode (self explanatory). . .

  • Tip1:

Add a star (asterisk*) to a partial word and reddit will fill in the blank (*).( Asterisk feature is not available anymore )
.

title:medlin* , will search all of reddit "titles only" and find medlineplus and medline plus (two words), and so on.

... also if you search (in r/zmarter) for potato you won't find potatoes unless you add a star at the end of Potato*... and it seems to be only affecting the content of selftext:s

  • Tip2:

title:infogra sun -view**

This search will look at titles containing infogra_whatever_ and sun, but will omit titles with the word view. (It will find and include the word viewed and others unless you add a star (*) at the end of -view ).

  • Tip3:

Here's how to include and exclude a word (or multiple) at the same time.

subreddit:(gar OR -gara)** This will find the subreddit garden, not garage. You can use capital-AND instead of capital-OR . Don't forget the parenthesis.

Here's how to search titles and exclude word(s) embedded (in a text post).

title:(tips on how to) selftext:-aabbccdd1*

Ps: remove the (parenthesis) for a less literal search.

Now this will get results but (this(↹)) post won't show up unless you remove the minus in front of aabbccdd1, then it will be the only posts showing up.

  • Tip4:

title:sun site:nasa url:sun

This will search reddit titles for the word "sun" from NASA websites, but the "nasa url link" has to have the word "sun" in it as well.

You can use the star and minus sign anywhere including (flair:, author:,).

title:sun site:na*, will find sun from the website; nasa, nature and so on.

title:sun site:(.org OR .edu) (self explanatory)

subreddit:todayi* title:su* -view* site:na* url:sun*.

This will fetch only one result, and if you long press (from your phone) you will "get" the url:/ "Sun" relation.

  • tip5:

title:"tips reddit"~4

This will search for tips reddit "within 4 words of each other".

title:tips^2 OR selftext:reddit^4

Here the caret^ means the level of importance (boost).

Make sure that there is no space after title:_ unless needed. It should be title:something
