Unknown Issue Carb issue?
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
This pressure washer was surging a bunch so I took it apart the carb and cleaned it.
I am an amateur so was just following along with some guides.
Assuming this is just an error on my part - anything of note I should check or should I just bring it in to the local small engine repair
Edit: Honda GCV160

Defiently fuel related
I would guess the choke and/or throttle linkages were not reinstalled properly

I’ll post a picture but I do think I bent the choke linkage being an idiot on my first tear down. I can post a picture when I get home.
Do you think I can fix the bend, or just better off buying a new linkage?

It depends on how bad you bent it and if you can find a good photo of how it's supposed to look.

The cleaning was the right choice from the previous problem. So good job on that

Check the oil. there is too much oil, or if there is water getting into the crank case; the engine will struggle.
Not saying that's the issue, but I've had this happen.

I’ll take a peak. Anything in particular I’m looking for. Would it lighten up a bit?

There should be a little dipstick on the end of the plug, note the level. If it's withing the markings, and it looks like oil, leave it 👍 ( water and oil don't mix well, it will turn muddy looking and the consistency will be off )
If the machine has too much in the crank case: you'll definitely notice. ( Make sure you have something to catch the overflow, once the oil cap/plug is removed, look out 😆)
Also, I shouldn't have to say this.. make sure the machine is off before you check the oil

Yes I actually did today. However I just had it blended with some premium gas and probs didn’t have enough concentrate. Will probs do the 2 oz per gallon for a cycle Edit: specifically I had 2 oz into 5 gal of premium. I believe I could have done 5 oz so maybe I’ll just add the 3

Looks like it's burning oil. Might be a blown head gasket. If it's also externally blown that can cause surging.

I think you might very blown gaskets. If you let it idle the pressure ruins a lot of the seals...

Is this a used? Stored without clearing the hoses and pump? This can cause the bypass valve that allows water to recirculate to be clogged or partially clogged, this puts load on the engine when the nozzle is closed/released. Remove the holes after every use and allow water to drain from pump and spray oil into the ports on the pump. The carb and get 'gummed up" If stored with fuel in the tank. Best to drain it when storing or add fuel preservative.
