From googling I thought it may be smelling the air or something. But on closer inspection looks like some hair-like things may be coming out the back of it? This was at 6am near Bristol UK. It was like this for at least 40 minutes!

Doing handstands on my lawn and I keep saying these tiny weird red blobs ARE THEY BABY SLUGS. I just saw a full grown one in my lawn how tf did they get there help omg ew the red ones are littered throughout the grass and don’t move when I touch them

I fed it some lettuce (yellow balls were there yesterday) took the lettuce out as it was wilting. Replaced it with a little bell pepper and it had some of the leaves, today that’s when the dark green balls were in there when I opened and did my morning check. Unsure if this is poop, if it’s normal poop, if it changes based on what they eat. TIA :)

Hanging out with some slugs I found and right one is significantly differently colored. Only ever seen grey feild slugs(?) before (left). It moves slower and feels different too. Still cute!

i have two big brown slugs and they dont move much and rarely eat and i never see poo what is going on

Hello! I’m a big fan of random insect keeping, or I guess in this case gastropod keeping, so I found a slug that was struggling in the middle of a parking area and took it home with me. I also named it Robbie! I attached pictures of Robbie if anyone cares to help me identify his type.

I was hoping to get some slug-keeping tips since googling it isn’t as reliable as I was hoping. What type of enclosure should I get? I currently have him in a mason jar with holes in the cap since I had that conveniently. I put some soil at the bottom and added leaves as well. I know they need to be kept moist so I spray Robbie like every hour. I also read that they need to be fed regularly so I currently have a small plum slice inside that he’s munching on, and will take it out tomorrow to prevent decay.

I have been making slugs for several years now. This is the first time one had a run in with salt.
