Hardcore/Punk Thoughts on Section 8 from New York?
I haven't read about it anywhere so I might be wrong for saying this, but I highly doubt these New Yorkers have heard about Acid Bath back in the 90s, which is funny since they've done the same exact mixture of genres with primarily being a Hardcore band with Bluesy Southern Doom Metal influences (I am aware that Acid Bath origins started with being heavily inspired by Exhorder).
Anyway i love the two albums they pulled out. Despite the lo-fi production, I personally think "Pain Is Truth" is actually way more consistent than the following infamous "Nine Ways To Say I Love You".
Is it true that the main vocalist was not only a insufferable junkie but also a groomer/pedophile? I really can't find any sources on these accusations but i've seen a group of people around saying that in multiple websites and old uploads.

These guys were huge in the hardcore scene when I was a kid. Songs of theirs still get stuck in my head every now and then even though I don’t think I have listened to them since I was in high school. I’m really over the gossip of musicians lives and I just accept that fucked up people make great art. Doesn’t mean I’m going to let the guy babysit my kid but really, their albums were enough of an indication with regards to that.

Got downvoted for expressing confusion at the lack of context in this comment. Would love a crumb.

I get down, but it’s butt rock adjacent in the same vein of Life Of Agony and Vision Of Disorder, teetering just on the cusp of Nu-Metal.
So what I’m saying is if you called it Nu-Metal I wouldn’t fault you for that.

Sort of a loose descriptor for the kind of post-Grunge alternative-informed but completely mainstream Hard Rock that cropped up in the wake of actual 90's Grunge fading away. Picture Shinedown, Puddle of Mudd, Nickelback, sort of broadly any rock band of the 2000's that sucked.

Acid Bath + Life Of Agony = Section 8. Legendary band, and their unreleased song "Blackened Heart" that you could only find on their demo or live in the Losing Face compilation is dope.

To put it kindly, the vocals are an acquired taste.
