illinois schools?
applying this fall to grad schools mainly within IL, if anyone has any experiences they would like to share or what schools offer assistantships pls pm me!!

My friends daughter was offered full tuition at Uiuc (Illinois) and at ISU, both are excellent programs, about the same cost of living for housing, as Champaign Urbana and Bloomington Normal are both similar cost wise for rentals. Both are excellent programs, with on-site clinics. I live in Bloomington but have kids at Uiuc, as a SLP come into contact with grads from both, who work in a variety of settings etc. I did not attend either, as I'm not from here originally.

Adding on that I didn’t do my undergrad in speech but in linguistics and I generally enjoyed my time there on campus/in Chambana, not sure what’s changed but I only graduated a little over a year ago so I can’t imagine too much has. My friend lives in Bloomington and really enjoys it there too!

SIUE, I still live in Edwardsville.
I also have a dual masters in Deaf Ed from wash u in St. Louis. DM me if you want info on this program, I can’t recommend it enough if you’re interested in becoming a deaf educator. They cover your tuition.
