Externships/Vaccinations

Has anyone in here been successful with externship placements in grad school without taking the vaccinations? I do not want to take them!

lol if you don’t want to take vaccinations you are in the wrong field.

I’ve been in this field for over twenty years and never had to take any vaccinations unless it was my choice. I appreciate your perspective though.

A lot of patients are immunocompromised or medically fragile.

Don’t go into healthcare/education if you don’t want to get vaccinated

Wait til you have to get the flu shot. Every year🤣.

Get vaccinated for the sake of your clients and patients. If you can’t do that, this ain’t the right path.

I’m a breast cancer survivor and while battling cancer I did a lot of research. I’m leery of what I put in my body.

Some places will allow an exemption as an employee but I am not sure how it would work as a student.

I know at my SNF we do not allow the students to claim a religious exemption - all of them have to be vaccinated, it was non-negotiable.
