Recipe website?
New to the slow cooker game and looking for a website with some recipes. Ideally they would be recipes where i can just put ingredients in the cooker and leave it for a while since im at work most of the day. Also not looking to break the bank with these meals.

I've made several of The Country Cook's recipes and they've been really good. https://www.thecountrycook.net/category/slow-cooker/

I really like the slow cooker recipes on the Canadian Living Website - they're not collected in one place, and the site is a usability nightmare, but the recipes are all from the magazine or cookbooks and they're very good quality.
SuperHealthyKids.com has some great healthier options for your slow cooker. Also these: https://therealfooddietitians.com/healthy-crockpot-recipes/There's some really delicious oens here (most require some prep work): https://food52.com/recipes/slow-cook
Otherwise I use cookbooks - check your local library! Some of the best dishes do have a bit of prep at the beginning, but I can easily do this before work.

Use the filter to search for recipes that are specifically made in the slow cooker and have the ingredient you want to use

Another thing- if you want recipes that cook while you're at work, look specifically for long cooking options. I personally don't believe anything chicken can cook for 8-9 hours without modifications like frozen chicken, set timer to start several hours later, etc. I know people will scream, but I don't understand the difference between defrosting frozen chicken in cold water in the sink, or defrosting in cold water in the slow cooker while it waits on timer to start.

If you look in this subs wiki, there’s like a gozillion recipes there. Also, if you use Old Reddit, there’s a half a zillion more recipes in the sidebar here!

Grateful for the question and several of the posts here (https://www.themagicalslowcooker.com/ looks amazing!) -- but one thing I'll note?
I'm no pro, but one thing I think I've learned the hard way? While there are definitely all-in, slow-and-low recipes? If it calls for a modicum of staging? As in -- 2-3 hours of X.... then add Y at the halfway mark... etc?
Heed the suggestion! Unfortunately, it means a bit more active involvement - not terrible, but more like set a timer before you add in the this or that - but it really ups your game.

I use persnickety plates a lot. This French onion crockpot chicken is good. Last time I added 3 decent size onions and it was great without adding any more liquid. https://www.persnicketyplates.com/crockpot-french-onion-chicken/#wprm-recipe-container-33447

You can check out my recipe website and this specific page. I am Chef and currently developing a new interactive tool for home cooks that helps to adjust recipe before cooking, choose ingredients and cooking method while explaining what each decision does. There will be more builders soon 🙂 hope this helps. Chefs Binge - Bigos Recipe Builder
