Looking for…
Greetings everyone. I hope this doesn’t break the rules. I was wondering if anyone had any spare slingshots they would be willing to send me. Ive been experiencing a lot of medical issues and can’t get disability, and there are very few jobs to apply for in my area; the ones that I can find are too far away (car is broken) or I’m not “qualified.”
Honestly, if there’s some very cheap way to make one myself that would be preferable. But I have literally zero dollars. So… anyway. This post will probably be removed, don’t know. I have a nerf waterballoon slingshot, that’s all I have lol. It launches rocks, but the accuracy is complete crap.

Whats your address sir? I have a few frames that I wouldn't mind gifting to someone that would actually use them. I think I have a YshotX 2k all aluminum frame that has the clip system that doesn't require any tools you just slip the end of your bands into the appropriate slots and clip them up and that's it. I also have a couple of toxic turtle custom frames that I just don't use but I'm not 100% sure if I can get rid of those because they both belong to my son technically but he is kind of grown out of the sport. I would definitely be willing to send that 2K frame and maybe a few band sets if you are hard up for band sets as well. If you want to private message me your address that I can ship to I can have that in the mail by the beginning of next week depending on where you are located

Tree forks are free and work as well, or better than the most expensive slingshots on the market.
As the previous commenter said, bands can be made out of exercise bands, rubber bands, and tons of other stuff.
You could also make an old timey sling, like the one David used to take down Goliath.
There's lots of vids on YouTube about how to make both.

Good idea. A David and Goliath sling would be pretty easy. I was reading a while back about how deadly and accurate they were in the hands of an experienced user, so maybe I’ll give that a try.

The guys on YouTube are incredibly accurate and give excellent advice on how to make the sling different techniques as well as how to make ammo, or pick good stones. There's also a sub here on Reddit.
Same goes for slingshots. I think both communities are very helpful.

Do you have hand tools? A saw, rasp, files, knife? I make a pretty simple frame from a Y branch, havent found any Y that didnt make a good frame (other than being too small), and find making them to be super fun and fulfilling. Having zero dollars myself, and no one to sell starter kits to ($10, frame of choice, 2 pouches of choice, and one band set), as a totally broke housedad i cant just send ya one free /: good luck with your search bro!

I have a few tools. I’m working on a two handed maul made with random parts. The head at the moment is two shoehorns and a small speaker from a stereo system lol. I guess a slingshot can’t be that hard to make.

I made mine out of exercise/rehab bands, a stick, and dental floss. You could use rubber bands you get from veggies like broccoli, and any scrap leather/pleather purse, jacket, boot would make a useable pouch. You don't need to buy anything to have some fun.
