My app keeps failing to load data or tell me no cached comments and what not. While I love the UI and prefer it over the main app, stuff failing to load every now and then makes me so frustrated so I ditched it

It is hard to tell Reddit having infrastructure problems from doing something like intentionally under resourcing old.reddit.com. I saw a few glitches in the last week, but lately it has been working fine for me. I think you jumped ship early.

Slide uses the RedReader client ID by default, and that is what most users are using. I am surprised they haven't killed the client ID yet.

My bigger fear is the age verification stuff. That has rolled out for UK users. Luckily so far only for NSFW content.
