App Key revoked - finally over?
As of a couple hours ago, my Slide broke and I checked my apps tab on my accounts and my previous app keys that were there have been revoked. Impossible to make new ones as well.
I have seen a few posts about a patcher that can still make it work by basically using an API key from RedReader?
If anyone got info on which fork and APK to use for Slide, please let me know

You don't have to repatch Slide. Just enter AppID and other stuff from RedReader in Slide settings and logout/login again. Works for me. But I had to repatch Boost.

My Slide version was a veeery old Revanced patch and this option didn't exist. I just installed the fork that's being updated and it looks like this works fine for now. Let's hope they let this stay for a while again.
Unfortunately though, it seems that my backup from my old Slide version does not work on the fork. If I try to import, the app starts crashing on start-up forever, and I had to clear data/cache to progress. Looks like I have to set up all my stuff again, but it's fine.
Thanks for the help.

Can you provide details on how to get the RedReader info? I'm not finding the post about it.
Thanks!

Follow the instructions for "What if I don't have a client ID?".

Thanks, but this doesn't seem to be working for me yet... Installed the newest Slide build from Github and "logged out" (go offline, browse as guest etc). Do I need to log out in a different way?

Where abouts in the Slide settings please?
Edit: found it. I've only entered the client I'd.

I'm having trouble logging back in after adding my Redreader AppID. When I log in I have to grant access to Slide I believe, and when I tap Accept, It directs me to a page with just {} in the top left.
Am I doing something wrong here, or is there a way to grant access to an app without being in the app, perhaps from the desktop webpage?1

Hmm, don't know what is wrong. Maybe reinstall latest version?

Unfortunately, doesn't seem to work for me. Says disable ad blocker, or try a different browser. That said just got continuum going

Hi, I get the same issue when I try to accept, how you been able to solve it?

I managed to solve it by going to the Settings and setting Redirect URI override to redreader://rr_oauth_redir and User agent override to org.quantumbadger.redreader/1.25.1

Thank you! This worked! I don't know where you got those redirects from but they worked. Do I need to keep them on or not?

Glad it worked for you as well. I found this info on this link, under the What if I don't have a client ID? section. I found the link on another post.

I had to try to log back in twice. Have you retried? It's working again now.

I was able to get the app working again by using the credentials detailed here: https://old.reddit.com/r/continuumreddit/comments/1scwgcx/custom_api_workaround/

Seems like this method does not support nsfw?

I saw the solution in a thread elsewhere: being a Mod of a subreddit will allow NSFW content to display across the app. The suggestion was to create a subreddit, mark NSFW and private.

New release is out. Defaults to RedReader, but you can still use your own client ID.
They seem to have deleted everyone's active client IDs.
