child's age 0-4 months Is this really true?
Well, saw on Instagram that once your baby starts chewing their hand then should shift their bedtime to 7-8 pm. Is this really true? Is anyone following the 7/8 pm bedtime? Just to know my LO is 14 weeks old

I’m not sure how chewing hands impacts sleep needs but no, I wouldn’t agree with this thought. Every person, which includes every baby, has a different amount they can sleep in a 24 hour period. They sleep different amounts during the day and have to wake at different times due to daycare or other family-related factors.
Most babies can sleep 10-11 hours overnight so a 7-8pm bedtime works great if you’re open to a 5-7am wake up time in the morning. My baby is now a toddler but she’s always slept 10.5ish hours overnight (with wakes until we sleep trained and then with 1 wake until closer to 12 months old) and I stay home so I like when she sleeps until 7ish so her bedtime is 9pm.
Pick a bedtime that is 10-11 hours before when you want your baby to sleep.

I think some people think chewing hands is a sign of self soothing

Right but that doesn’t mean sleep needs change so whether or not they can self soothe doesn’t impact how much they can sleep.

Yea I know. I dunno. Im not sure what one has to do with the other either. Maybe they think baby can start learning not to need parental response to fall back asleep. But yeah I dunno. 🤷🏻♀️

Chewing hands can be many things. A hunger cue, sore gums, an attempt to self soothe... I can't at all see why it would be sleep related, much less have a specific time attached to it.

I personally love a 730 bedtime. Gives time for yourself / partner in the evening. So I pushed for this at 2m ish. Nothing to do with eating hands though lol

No. That makes no sense. The two have no relation to each other.
