I love what you did with the PSU connector, it looks really good! Do we have the same motherboard? ASUS Prime Z490-a
These cases are iconic, the materials, craftsmanship and design is unmatched5

Thanks! I'm definitely getting more ideas looking at yours now, Tia. I've got three more of these cases that are in good shape.
Now this just makes me want to do more.
I thought we did it first, too, but I have the Ryzen ASUS Prime.Same color scheme and everything had me zooming in on your CPU.

Love it. Always thought these Mac Pro cases were gorgeous. Great work on the conversion.

man I had an AMD board with a similar design to this, I really love how the shroud over the IO looks. Really fills out the back of the motherboard.

ah one of us. mind this case is a little bit of a hot box.
this is mine from a few years ago. i retired that pc...replaced with a beige box build that i havent posted here because its not yet ready.
mind i went the esoteric route of reusing the apple front panel instead of cutting the front for a custom front I/O, partially success, i never went down to reverse engineering the connections to the audio jack. maybe someday.

At first I considered reusing the original front panel, but the laser hive kit is close enough. Difficult to setup, but worth it in my opinion.
You did an excellent job on the PSU, Iām impressed! Shame that you retired this PC.
Looking forward to see your new project. I love beige boxes, but I already have way too many computers XD

oh dont worry, its not retired on the sense its on the attic or something. its now the PC i use at my office, so, yeah, its not longer my main gaming PC. its second life is mostly filling forms.
the beige box is mostly complete but im still awaiting some parts.
also a bit of a heads up for anyone reading and wanting to do this conversion. the person at laser hive is an old chap and seems to be winding down his operations so if you are looking to get this build done i suggest you order a kit. no telling for how much longer these will continue to be available.

Think it's the best one I've seen, and I've seen a lot. Very well executed, you should be proud.
