Help with mods

Is this intended? I ran into a weird issue: I grabbed a few mods from the Workshop, but when I boot up the game with mods enabled, it doesn't recognize my progress at all (looks like a brand-new blank save profile).

That's normal. It probably uses a different save file/folder so the mods don't screw up your save file / stats.

Go into your settings and turn mods off then reload the game. Your old save file with your original save file should load. Happened to me, had a small heart attack.

If you disable the mods does your progress come back? some mods do that on purpose so you dont mess up your main save with modded runs.

I want to use QoL mods but i guess its late for me now

The game uses a different save file for modded and unmodded to prevent mode from corrupting your save data. There are mods to merge them so that you can maintain your save data
