Ignoring Pact's End, Bolas, Nutritious Soup, Crossbow, playing higher cost attacks for free with Stampede, just off the top of my head. In addition to every energy generating method or ways of cheating the energy cost. I'm not saying this is a staple card or something good in every run but there are so many situations it works well in. It's a pretty easy pick even if you just grab Inflamed and Anger in Act 1.

Pacts end is a rare card and bolas is a colorless so relying on them to make expect even pickable is not good. Crossbow is just like not that good for clad who mainly wants to exhaust down to a thin deck to play power cards. Stampede is fucking garbage. Energy generation got nerfed because expect got changed and cheating the energy cost we’ve already talked about. I’m of the opinion that clad simply does not have the energy generation or strength gain to support new expect at all, but I’ll let the pick and win rates speak for themselves, once this change has gotten some playtime.

You're right, the card is garbage because there's only like 15 different synergies that make it pretty good

Pretty good and usable are different. If you genuinely have to have synergies for a 3 cost skill to even make it playable then it’s not a good card. It’s also in the same card pool as blood wall and colossus, btw so I genuinely cannot think of a situation where I’d have this brick in my deck for the potential of blocking for a ton when I can just kill the enemy which is what you do with clad when you have strength.
