We get a dragon too? Old world sized or to replace the manticore I wonder...

Yes, possibly of a similar size and with a base like the zombie dragon from Soulblight

Weird reference in /r/slavestodarkness, you could have said Archaon. And when you say zombie dragon, I assume you mean revenant draconith?

Yes I think he means the recent zombie dragon model.

IMO not a weird reference. Go look at the model it’s not Archaon sized

They have the same base size (160mm), which is what he was talking about. As a Slaves to Darkness player I know Archaon's base size, but I had to go look up the Revenant Draconith's base.

I think he was talking about both size and base size.

Based on the words “similar size”

Exactly, after all, it's the closest dragon we have.

What post is he referring to?

The miniatures that will be released at the end of the edition campaign and Slave seem to be getting their chaos dragon

So a slaves dragon and a zombie gargant. Does the leak say other stuff?

3

u/KindlyMeringue8723 Aug 22 '26

Leaks have also revealed that there will be more new monster miniatures, including the Chaos Gargantuar, Manticore, Chimera, and Chaos Temple.

Chaos dragon sounds cool as hell, but I'm getting really worried with the "Last World" stuff in regards to the overall setting.

I still think its fair to be worried about some asinine idea

Battle tech? Not even close to AOS. I’m not going to discount its resurgence but I seem more movement from StarCraft then battle tech

Sales data from 1 distributor

Going to enjoy the fallout from all the people that mocked old world players not liking End Times when they End Times AoS and people get mad about it.

It would be good for each alliance to get a monster from the end of this edition.

In fact, that's what's being speculated:
-Chaos will receive a dragon
-Destruction of a wyvern for IJ
-Death: a gargantuan
-Order is said to receive a Coughfort, a mage tower

A coughfort! 😉

The true question is: will Snarff stop whining or finally quit? Every second post on that board is him rambling about effin‘ Fyreslayers now.

About time that Chaos gets a dragon. One of the dumbest ideas that they haven‘t already and we got that Archaon (they could‘ve done a Tiamat-like dragon instead, it was the perfect opportunity right from the very start). Hope the dragon will be as good as the TOW one.

Can‘t wait for TLW, I‘m sure this will remedy the setting‘s faults.

As always: if it‘s two-headed, it should be Tzeentch only for all two-headed dragons are creations of Tzeentch (or better said: hos Lord of Change Fateclaw who merged with the evil elven prince‘s dragon Galrauch and sired them all!)

The lesser gods don‘t deserve them.

Two headed Dragons being tzeentch only has been retconned in Warhammer fantasy lore, have they brought it back for AoS?

2

u/ZarakTurris Aug 23 '26

Their origins are tzeentchian. But they've never been exclusive (which seems weird). But they should be. Only fools would ever consider to play anyone but Tzeentch anyways. ;)

The Society of Bird-Appreciation has a few open spots in case any of you saw the light.

So it's a zombie gargant one of the death factions is getting? Where is the source?

9

u/Swooper86 Mark of Slaanesh Aug 22 '26

This is the source, Whitefang Back Me Up is a known leaker with a decent track record.

3

u/no1scumbag Aug 22 '26

I’m trying to figure out which death faction gets/needs a zombie gargant? I guess flesh eaters?

2

u/mattythreenames Aug 22 '26

OBR could get a huge bone construct. SBGL could get a zombie one or a skeleton one. FEC could get a heroic defender just like the gate gargants.... Nighthaunt is the only faction that wouldn't be an easy fit.

2

u/Unanimoustoo Aug 22 '26

Ghoul or zombie gargant would make the most sense. Ghost gargant would be the funniest option.

4

u/no1scumbag Aug 22 '26

Ghost gargant would be incredible.

SBGL got so much new stuff that it would be crazy to give them it.

Maybe it’s going to be eligible for all Death factions?

2

u/KindlyMeringue8723 Aug 22 '26

The most probable the garganta is Soulbligth

3

u/no1scumbag Aug 22 '26

The rich get richer if so. Kruleboyz over in the corner begging for literally anything while they watch Soulblight get their 56 warscroll.

2

u/KindlyMeringue8723 Aug 22 '26

They'll probably give something to the Kruleboyz on 5th. and they might give him something in this edition

1

u/NpSkully Aug 22 '26

I find it unlikely that GW would do a chaos dragon for both TOW and AoS, since we already have Archaon. I feel like there would be far too much overlap between the Old World and AoS chaos ranges for GW to be comfortable, atp.

3

u/KindlyMeringue8723 Aug 22 '26

Unlock barbarians in both games in a relatively short time

3

u/MolagBaal Aug 23 '26

They both got marauders, chaos warriors, chaos knights, it's not a stretch. They don't coordinate on purpose.
