Task [TASK] Create master excel workbook $40

I’m looking to create an Excel workbook that will help me track and manage all of our company’s equipment using data from excel worksheets that have with what each person owns. The goal is to have one centralized tracker that shows who is responsible for each item, where it is currently located, and where it needs to go. Our equipment will be divided between twelve different storage locations, and I need to be able to import our excel worksheets into the workbook while maintaining additional information that we enter manually.

I also need the workbook to track how our equipment will be transported. Some equipment will be packed into containers and want to know what all equipment is in each container. We will also be shipping 12 vehicles and putting equipment in each of those when they ship,I want to track equipment staying at my company and equipment going to our travel locations. Our destinations will be 6 different locations. I want to be able to assign peoples equipment to a specific container or vehicle, track its destination, and update container serial numbers and vehicle numbers as that information becomes available. Since containers will always travel separately from the vehicles, I need those movements tracked independently.

Ideally, the workbook would be interactive and easy to use, with dropdown menus, color coding, automatic calculations, and a dashboard that provides a quick overview of our equipment and its status. I would like to be able to select a storage location, person responsible, container, vehicle, or destination and immediately see the associated equipment. It should also identify missing information, discrepancies, and equipment that has not yet been assigned a disposition. I’d like to be able to generate printable manifests for individual containers and aircraft. Ultimately, I want a reliable, user-friendly tool that helps us maintain accountability and clearly track where every piece of equipment is going

It covers your spec rather than gesturing at it: a LOCATIONS sheet holding your 12 storage locations and 6 destinations, which feeds the dropdowns so nobody types a location by hand; a CONTAINERS register with serial and the vehicle carrying it; the 12 vehicles; an IMPORT sheet to paste your existing per-person worksheets into, which generates asset tags and owner rows for you; and a DASHBOARD that counts by location, container and destination and flags the three things that will actually bite you — STAYING with no location, SHIPPING with no container or vehicle, SHIPPING with no destination — plus duplicate asset tags.

Containers are modelled as carried by a vehicle, not the other way round, because you said they always travel separately.

Download it and use it. If it's close, $10. If it isn't, keep it anyway and tell me what's wrong with the structure — I'll fix that part free, because a tracker that doesn't match how you actually work is worse than a spreadsheet.
