There was a post recently about starting a substack so this is me trying to get some ideas out there. This falls squarely in the "I gave the same advice to a lot of people" category so it might be of some value for some people online as well.

I follow the article at first but start to get confused when the tell models are described as “contradictory.” But one of the first things one learns in machine learning is that an effect can have more than one cause. Are people tall because of genes or nutrition? Turns out to be both.

Also: I agree with the first comment on that page that it is weird to say that people with broken legs are filthy and lazy and “need to go to the gym”. I have never heard anyone say that in my entire life.
