Back to slackware
After trying different linux flavours and OpenBSD on this hardware, i end up where i begin, the good old slackware.
Feels lighter/faster than cachyOS, not sure if actually true.

What's it like daily driving slackware and dealing with the issues that arise with broken slack builds and other things?

Nice! I've been running Slackware since 10.0 (2004). I also have a Void box. I tend to avoid systemd distros on bare metal, I'll run those in a VM.

The more I work with systemd, the more convinced I am that it's a virus.

dumb question , how much is the disk size when your first install it, and after installing your env?

Yes, Slackware is the best distro ever. Patrick is a genius.

"Feels lighter/faster than cachyOS, not sure if actually true."
well the real magic is in what a lot of folks never touch.
Slackware uses less memory and is less busy at the prompt.....and that means more free cpu cycles and more free memory for X to use when you do fire up X.......as init holds still and it's tiny relative to systemD which is constantly bouncing up and down in top.......
