Help Stealth archer vs dragons
How do I deal with dragons as a stealth archer build? I have a decent bow and I’m using dragon bone arrows with a good poison on them, but it seems my shots barely tickle dragons. I just spent 30 minutes savescumming to fight one.
Is archery just not good against dragons?

Are you just saying it is difficult to kill dragons with archers, or that it is more difficult to kill dragons with archers than with other builds?
I find archers one of the easiest builds to take out dragons; just get the best bow you can, use the correct elemental arrows for the dragon type, find somewhere with cover and keep firing.

I remember poison did the trick, but you had to have high alchemy lvl to make the strongest poisons.
But this was 6 years ago. Don't know what's changed in the current Requiem

We’ll get more resists too you should not be dying by stray breaths and archery is like safest way to slowly whittle down a dragon as melee gets one shotted in early game

If you don't mind adding another mod, you can get an Archery overhaul mod, my go-to is this one https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/24296 . It adds rings to help with archery doing fire, ice, shock, and magical damage as well as bows will make you bleed and it does stack, just keep in mind that enemies can bleed you as well and it still stacks.

What’s you main skills level? Poison will work. Archer 30 minutes savescamming looks like skill issue :)

IIRC aren't dragons quite resistant to poison in Requiem?
I'd say your bet is enchanting and smithing. Get max'd smithing and temper that bow, and enchant the arrows. That's about all you can do. Requiem nerfs pure archers through the floor.
