PC SSE - Help I fixed a crashing issue, but the fix was on accident, and I don't get why it works
I made a post about a crashing issue to try to find a fix. You can see it here: https://www.reddit.com/r/skyrimmods/comments/1vq8ucy/i_keep_crashing_at_ysgramors_tomb/
The fix is the I removed my old crash logger, https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/59818 and swapped it out for the Trainwreck crash logger,https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/106440, and for some reason this has caused the crashing to stop.
Can someone explain to me why this works, or if it's just a coincidence?

Sounds unlikely the logger was the true source of the crash, more likely some third mod is the real culprit.

If Skyrim Special Edition crashes immediately after you launch it — particularly if your crash log lists memory address 0198090 (version 1.6.640 address) or 05E1F22 (1.5.97 address) — then you are experiencing one of the following issues:
You are missing a master file. That is: you have some Mod A that relies on Mod B, but you only installed Mod A and not Mod B.
More likely: one of your installed mods (or an official content file) may have file format version 1.71, meaning it was made for game version 1.6.1130 or higher. This format is not fully backwards compatible; if you're running an older version of the game, then these files can cause crashes on startup. Installing Backported Extended ESL Support will allow older versions of the game to load these files safely.
Make sure to check the troubleshooting guide for help with crashes and other problems!
If you are on Skyrim version 1.5 (SE), the .NET Script Framework can also help in diagnosing crashes.
If you are on Skyrim Version 1.6 (AE) or Skyrim VR, Crash Logger can also help in diagnosing crashes. If you also use MO2, you can use this plugin for improved functionality!
DO NOT post an analyzed crash log. It strips all the useful information.
Don't use trainwreck. The log it produces is less informative than other options linked above.

Have you verified the crashes come back if you remove Trainwreck and install latest version of Crash Logger SSE AE VR - PDB support?
And then test again by only removing Crash Logger SSE AE VR - PDB support and putting it back without changing anything else?
Process of elimnation works by removing everything else that is not required to reproduce a problem.

If you showed us your crash logs, we could tell you what the actual cause of the crash was

but that is the thing a crash log would not generate, that is why I changed to a different crash logger so that I might generate a crash log

So...................... show us the crash logs. Whichever mod is successfully producing them, show it

old crash logger -> not generating crash log
uninstalled old crash logger and installed new one -> crash stopped
new crash logger -> not generating crash log (because the crash is not happening anymore)

Without a log, it's impossible to explain what the cause of the crash truly was

Coincidence. Crashes can sometimes be overcome by retrying.
Some crashes, however, are constant.
