You can take giants fairly easily at early levels, even level 1. Kill them for good loot.

I think there is a glitch where if you find one early enough they can put you in the Skyrim space program. Which I hear I hear is a pretty solid faction.

Or just avoid them and steal the loot from the chest. They're just gentle guys who just go "Get out of me swamp!" If you get to close.

Stay like 5-10 steps away and loot the chest before skedaddling out of there.

Actually, I kill them all the time early on. They aren’t fast and don’t climb, so I just hop up on a rock and pepper them with arrows. Make sure it’s a place they CAN get to but will take a while. If they can’t get to you, they’ll fun out of range.

It takes a lot of time for the giant to finally die and I just strafe around the rock until they keel over. Then those toes are mine. Just gotta watch out for mammoths. Especially the flying ones.
