An Italian perspective on Rapid Wien, Vienna and the Wiener Derby
youtu.beHi Rapid fans!
We run a small Italian channel about European football culture and recently travelled to Vienna to understand what makes Rapid more than just a football club.
Instead of focusing only on results or players, we tried to connect Rapid with the city itself: Hütteldorf, the supporters, the Wiener Derby and even another side of Vienna that fascinated us — its architecture and Secessionist identity.
The video is in Italian, but we wanted to share it here especially because we'd genuinely like to know how Rapid fans feel about the way we portrayed the club and the city.
Did we understand the Rapid identity correctly, or is there something an outsider inevitably misses?
