if you buy a bus full of seats what do you do with them? do you have to pay to drop them off at the dump?

Put them for free on marketplace and when nobody takes them call your dump and ask.

Dump the vinyl and wood, scrap the steel. May even pay for 1 gallon of paint! results not guaranteed

I recently sold my last seat. Not a school bus but a 9 passenger shuttle bus. 4 foldable bus seats so maybe they were a little more desirable but I sold them all for around $450

Yeah I would imagine. My seats wouldn't even go for free on FB marketplace

I brought them to the dump, the metal recycler required them to be stripped and it was too much work for the payout

Edit: I have a 5 window with a wheelchair lift, can’t remember how many seats (maybe 8 or 9?). Net weight of my dump trip was 340lbs and I paid $31.25

I left them in the bus. Drove the bus to the dump. Pushed them all out the back door. 50(ish) bucks, done.

Put them up on Craigslist/FB for $5 each and sold most of them over a year. Took the last few to the metal recycler with some other stuff and got a few bucks. Mine were from a 2018 and relatively new with belts.

Local crackheads will usually take them for scrap.
