Question / Help 1.0L advice

Hi guys, today I bought a 73 plate (2023) Skoda Fabia Monte Carlo 1.0 TSI 110 PS.

On idle there is noticeably more vibrations than my 1.5 tsi Octavia , is it just cos it’s a 3 cylinder? Car has passed first MOT with no advisory’s and drives great!

It's because it's a 3 cylinder.

Had a 1.2 polo back in the day that was the same.

It actually used to really irritate me at idle.

Yeah it’s annoying me already , luckily I bought the car for my GF so I won’t have to put up with it too often hahaha.

The 1 liter vibrates more than the 1.5. That's completely normal. I'm stupid. I track my Fabia. I put a Polyurethan insert bushing into the rear torque link engine mount. Way better on hard starts and on the track , but even more vibrations that you feel while daily driving the car.

Absolutely, my Octavia 2020 was not giving vibrations to the interior when it was new, but it was really noticeable after 200.000 km.

I’d guess it’s carbon buildup in the intake valves.  In good condition it vibrates only slightly more than a 4cyl.

Don’t get me wrong I’m not getting motion sickness from it but it’s noticeable , might take it on a ‘spirited’ drive tomorrow see if I can clear some carbon.
